The Call for Papers for the annual ASCILITE Conference, to be held in Adelaide, Australia from the 30th of November - 3rd of December 2025 will open soon. 

The Conference theme is Future-Focused: Educating in an Era of Continuous Change. This year's theme explores the dynamic landscape of education, emphasising adaptability, innovation, sustainability, and forward-thinking approaches to prepare learners and educators for an ever-evolving digital world.

We invite all educators, researchers, learning designers, technologists, and practitioners engaged in digital education and innovative teaching practices to submit an abstract for ASCILITE 2025.

Sub Themes

  • Collaborative Futures:
    Fostering partnerships between educators, learners, institutions, and industries to co-create innovative educational experiences. We invite submissions that showcase the power of collaboration in shaping the future of digital education and preparing learners for an interconnected world, forefronting perspectives of the diversity of those involved in the learning and teaching process in tertiary education.

  • Adaptable Learners:
    Focusing on strategies for building resilience among learners and educators, and adaptable and supportive learning environments that thrive in the face of rapid technological and societal changes. We invite submissions that explore how to foster adaptability and persistence, and support strong learning communities in both physical and virtual spaces, emphasising social-emotional learning and well-being.

  • Inclusive Futures:
    Addressing equity gaps and promoting accessibility in digital education through innovative technologies and inclusive practices. We invite submissions that showcase strategies for creating learning environments that cater to diverse needs, abilities, and backgrounds in an era of rapid technological advancement.

  • AI and Human Synergy:
    Investigating the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and human expertise in education. We encourage submissions that examine the ethical implications, pedagogical applications, and potential impact of AI technologies on teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

  • Your Journey:
    Focusing on the process of learning and growth, where challenges, setbacks, and reflections are valued as essential parts of the path, rather than the destination. We encourage submissions that are backwards looking, but forward thinking.

Full Papers
20-minute presentations plus a 5 - minute Q&A


Concise Papers
12-minute presentations plus a 3 - minute Q&A


Posters are an opportunity to visually share and showcase projects and development initiatives and discuss these with conference delegates.


55-minute presentation including Q&A


7-minute presentations with Q&A for 5 minutes following 3 presentations





Submit your Paper

Click below to enter the ASCILITE Presentation Portal. 

Create an Account, complete the online form, upload your paper
(using the relevant presentation type paper template/s)
and hit complete.
A confirmation email will be sent to the contact author upon paper submission.


All papers must be submitted online via the ASCILITE Conference 2025 website (using the relevant presentation type paper template) by midnight Australian Central Daylight Saving Time, 22 June 2025.

The contact author will be notified in writing of the Committee's decision in September 2025.


Terms and Conditions

Submissions are accepted on the basis that all presenting authors must register and pay the appropriate conference fee. Co-presenters are allowed, but must register for the day of their presentation (as a minimum) if they wish to present.
