Professor Kelly Matthews

Kelly has dedicated her career to education, working with teaching staff and students to shape policies and practices across higher education. She cares most about improving the everyday learning experiences between students and teachers. This focus has shaped her long-standing commitment to working with students as partners in higher education. Because improving teaching is collective work, Kelly co-creates communities that connect and inspire, including International Collaborative Writing Groups, the Students as Partners Network, and the Australian Teaching and Education Focused Academic Network

Her scholarship focuses on student voice, partnership, and teaching impact, including writing differently about teaching and learning. She has led and contributed to multi-institutional projects—including the recent Students and AI project—and her work has informed national policy, institutional strategy, and curriculum design across disciplines. 

Kelly is a Professor of Higher Education, an Australian Teaching and Learning Fellow, an award-winning university teacher, and a Higher Education Academy Principal Fellow. Originally from New Orleans, Kelly moved to Australia 20 years ago. She acknowledges the traditional owners and their connection to Country where she lives (with her partner and two children) and works (University of Queensland) in Brisbane.

Professor Michael Henderson

Michael is Professor of Digital Futures, and Director of Educational Design and Innovation in the Faculty of Education at Monash University, Australia. Michael spends most of this time being enjoyably frustrated by educational technologies. His research focuses on innovative teaching and learning designs and the implications of digital technologies across all sectors of education. Michael is an ASCILITE Life Member and is an internationally recognised educator and researcher with over 200 publications and the recipient of national and international awards for teaching and research. He was identified in 2024 as the Australian field leader in education research. Professor Mollie Dollinger

Professor Mollie Dollinger is the Director of Assessment 2030 in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Curtin University, where she leads a whole-of-university strategy for assessment transformation. Her work centres on supporting educational innovation, serving concurrently as the inaugural Director of Innovation and Scholarship of Learning & Teaching (ISOLT) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University, and previously leading the creation and management of two university-wide student partnership programs at La Trobe University and Deakin University.

Her research focuses on students’ voice, graduate employability, and student equity, particularly for students with disabilities and those from regional and rural communities. Professor Dollinger also serves as Deputy Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management and is an honorary research fellow at the Centre for Research in Assessment and Digital Learning (CRADLE) at Deakin University. 




Dr Lynn Gribble

Dr Lynn Gribble (she/her) is nationally and internationally recognised for her thought leadership in AI teaching and learning and digital innovation practices, which have won multiple awards.  With community at heart, she created and co-leads the AI Community of Practice at UNSW to disseminate, collaborate and advocate the use of AI in education practices. An early adopter, adapter and authoritative voice in AI, she is an advocate for reimagining education with technology in mind. With Community at heart, Lynn also co founded the National Teaching and Education Focused Network.
