We appreciate your time and ask that you review the instructions carefully to ensure deadlines and expectations are met. Below are the detailed requirements for presentations.
Papers submitted and accepted as Pecha Kucha Papers Presentations will be delivered live at the Conference. Pecha Kucha Presentations are
7-minute presentations with 5-minute Q&A after 3 presentations (plus 4 minutes for presenter change over).
Preparing your Presentation for the Conference
Please refer to the program schedule to view the day and time of your presentation HERE. The program is subject to change; please ensure you download the most recent program.
The preferred method of presentation is via PowerPoint. PowerPoint presentations should be prepared in wide screen 16:9 (not standard 4:3 format). There is a PowerPoint template that you can use if you wish, it can be downloaded from HERE. We recommend you bring your presentation to the conference on USB drive for it to be loaded onto the venue system by an audio-visual technician in the speakers’ preparation room. Please have your presentation saved under your last/family name.
If you are wanting to bring your own laptop, you will need to bring your own adapters. You will still need to see Speaker Support prior to your presentation to ensure your laptop will connect in the room.
If you have a MAC or special presentation requirements, please see the technical operators in the speaker preparation area for assistance.
Please check your presentation material in the speaker preparation area well before your presentation time to avoid any problems when you present. The Speaker Support team will also ask if you consent to sharing your presentation with delegates after the conference has concluded
We further recommend you meet with your session chairperson in the session room 10-15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session.
Session Rooms
All session rooms will be arranged in cabaret style (round tables and chairs) and will be equipped with a laptop, lectern, data projector and handheld slide presenter / laser pointer (clicker) supplied by the venue. It is recommended that you use the venue laptops and play back devices.
If you must use your own laptop, please check with speaker support prior to your presentation start time to ensure you have the appropriate adaptors. Please note that the venue will not provide any technical support for equipment it does not own and maintain.
Speaker Support is located on level 1, in the city room foyers.
