Chair Guidelines


On behalf of the ANZAHPE 2026 Program Committee, thank you to our Chairs and Co-chairs for contributing to the conference and chairing a session(s) for the upcoming conference.

Chairs are an important role to ensure each session runs smoothly and detailed chair guidelines are available to download below. 


Chair Allocations

Please refer to the most updated program with confirmed chairs allocated to sessions. CLICK HERE to download the most up-to-date program. 

** HINT: To easy locate your name, please 'Ctrl F'
** Please check the number of sessions your name appears as chair, as some chairs are allocated to more than one session. 


Chair Packs

For those chairing an Oral session (PeArLS and Oral Presentations) session rooms will have the following provided on a reserved table near the front of the room adjacent the lectern:

Chair Pack - including:

  • Program
  • Flash Cards (3 minutes. 1 minute, finish - A4 laminated cards)
  • Copy of the Chair Guidelines for your information
  • Bell (located on the table)

Please meet with the speakers in the session room a minimum of 10 minutes prior to the Session time, as indicated on the program. Confirm the order of presentations is as per the program. Inform the speakers of their presentation time limit and that you will cut them off if they exceed their allocated time.


For Poster Presenter Chairs,

a copy of the guidelines will also be available on the poster board located at the beginning of your pod -

Blue and Orange Pods

are located in the Dobson Foyer

Green Pod

is located in the Conway Foyer.   


All Posters will be clearly labelled.

Co-Chair Opportunity

We are excited to invite you to participate as a co-chair for upcoming conference sessions! This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your skills in session leadership and gain valuable experience in conference organization, or to connect with chair.

To volunteer, please review the session schedule and simply fill your name into any cyan block that does not yet have a designated co-chair. You will be paired with an assigned session chair who will support you throughout the process, helping you build confidence and skills in session management.

Please note: This is a first-come, first-served opportunity. Kindly do not sign up for sessions that are already assigned to others.

Please reach out directly to the allocated chair of the session you select either before or at the session so the chair can liaise with you to ensure a smooth and collaborative session. Our aim is to support you to gain confidence and become comfortable in the role of chair.
