The AI-era and why trusted medicines information is critical

Session Overview

In medicines information, where considerations such as dose, interactions, and contraindications are critical, the priority is not speed but accuracy and reliability. The safest guidance is that which has undergone clinical review, robust quality control, and is supported with confidence.
This is how the AMH delivers trusted knowledge.

Disconnect to Protect: Leveraging ExamSoft to Safeguard High-Stakes Assessment, Advance Accreditation, and Assure Learning in Medical Education

Session Overview

This interactive session, aligned with the ANZAHPE 2026 theme “Weaving Connection,” explores the "Disconnect to Protect" strategy using ExamSoft to safeguard high-stakes medical assessments. Addressing challenges like generative AI and rigorous accreditation standards (e.g., AMC, AACSB), the presentation demonstrates how to secure assessment integrity while leveraging longitudinal data for "Assurance of Learning."

Participants will learn to use performance analytics to identify competency gaps, map student progress to learning outcomes, and drive evidence-informed curriculum improvements. Ultimately, the session emphasizes collaboration—symbolized by the Māori whakataukī—to weave together technology and pedagogy, ensuring institutional accreditation readiness and enhanced learner success.

The 360-Degree Learner: Bridging the Gap Between Knowledge and Performance

Session Overview

A student might ace their MCQs but struggle in an OSCE or on the ward. If that data lives in different systems, we miss the opportunity for holistic support. How can we create a truly comprehensive view of learner competence? This session looks at the benefits of a single-platform approach to assessment. We’ll discuss how linking written exams, clinical performance data (OSCEs), and workplace-based evidence into a single ecosystem allows for sophisticated "early warning systems" and more nuanced, evidence-based remediation.
