Festival Format


Why is the Festival spread out over two weeks?
Over the past year we have noticed and experienced a range of online event formats. The Festival is spread out over two weeks in a way which we hope interweaves with your working and personal lives in a better way than the traditional “block” of time. We also took into account the broad range of timezones our members occupy across the Asia Pacific region, and tried to ensure that the Festival timing is, as much as possible, within sociable hours.

 

What activities will be part of the Festival?
There will be keynote sessions, workshops, oral presentations, and PeArLS sessions, as well as sponsored sessions offered online. All these formats will include opportunities to discuss and interact with fellow attendees. Specifically, the PeArLS are Personally Arranged Learning Sessions which are purposefully designed to facilitate discussion and sharing of ideas, perspectives and experiences on a specific topic or theme. How can I network with others at the Festival?
Within the online Festival platform there will be functionality to contact other attendees individually through the Meeting Hub, see how others interact and engage using the Q&A chat box in sessions and group interactions for selected sessions such as Workshops and PeArLS.  

 

Will there be local “hub” events that I can attend in-person?
The ANZAHPE Festival will be delivered virtually on-line as a result of the ongoing impact of COVID-19. ANZAHPE have carefully considered the possibility of potential border restrictions and future lock downs with little to no warning.
