The Wheat Breeding Society of Australia encourages you to participate in the 2022 Wheat Breeding Assembly (28-31 August, The Crossing Theatre, Narrabri) with an oral or poster presentation.
Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstract submissions are invited from across the value-chain to showcase the science, practice and impact of variety development for Australia’s wheat industry. Topics of potential interest include (but are not limited to):
- Genetics/genomics
- Phenotyping
- Data management/analysis
- Abiotic stress traits
- Biotic stress traits
- End use quality
- Technology for wheat breeding
- Capacity development for wheat breeding
- The business of wheat breeding
- Breeding wheat for future farming systems
- Breeding wheat for future markets
Please ensure you have read the following guidelines before submitting:
- Abstract submissions Round #2 - closed
- There is no limit to the number of abstracts that may be submitted by an individual.
- Presentations can be in Oral and/or Poster Presentation format
- Submission acknowledges consent to print the abstract and contact details in the Assembly proceedings and list of presenting authors.
- The presenting author will be required to register for the Assembly in order to ensure their abstract(s) is included in the final program.
- Deadline for presenting author registration will be advised in the acceptance letter.
- Abstracts are to be text only – limit of 2500 characters with spaces. Graphs, figures, diagrams, images etc. must not be included.
- Authors of accepted abstracts will be asked to submit a pre-recorded presentation in advance of the in-person event
- Submissions should be completed electronically via the online submission form. If you are unable to submit in this manner, please contact the Conference Organiser via WBA2022@eventstudio.com.au for assistance.
