HSRAANZ Conference 2022: ECR events and opportunities

The 12^h Health Services Research Conference in Sydney from the 30^th November to the 2^nd of December 2022. We have plenty of events and activities specifically designed to support ECRs and students to make connections, learn from the experts and showcase their work.

1.  Speed Mentoring session for ECRs

The speed mentoring session is at lunch time on day one of the conference. The session is an opportunity for ECRs to have a series of brief conversations with experienced researchers and policy makers, sparking conversations that can be continued throughout the conference. An impressive list of experienced researchers have agreed to participate covering topics as varied as health economics, health policy, allied health, indigenous health, implementation science and health outcomes.

2. 3 Minute Thesis Competition (3MT) for ECRs

Congratulations to those of you who have entered our 3MT competition. Entrants have been given the challenging task of presenting their research thesis in 3 minutes with the assistance of a single power point slide.  This promises to be an entertaining and informative session, and is a great opportunity to get a brief overview of the research other ECRs are conducting. 3. ECR social evening

On Wednesday 30^th of November, ECRs are invited to come together for a casual meal and trivia from 7pm at the Nags Head pub (162 St Johns Rd, Glebe). It is a short walk (approximately 1km) from the conference venue and there will be an opportunity to walk as a group following the welcome drinks.  Have a chat, make some friends, and expand your networks.  Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
