ORAL PRESENTATIONS


ANZSNM 2022 will deliver an exciting program with a mixture of international and local speakers providing knowledge exchange, thought provoking topics, and important delegate opportunities for contribution and discussion at our first in person meeting since the world was shut down by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

We appreciate your time and ask you read the instructions to ensure deadlines and expectations as an Oral Presenter are met. Please find below more details on requirements for presentations.

PLEASE NOTE: With the Conference going ahead as an in person format, presenters are required to:

  • 1). PRIOR TO THE EVENT: Provide a Pre-recorded version of your Presentation
    by 15 April:
     pre-recorded presentations will be built into the On-Demand Portal, an online portal available for delegates to watch at their own convenience post conference. All presenters are requested to upload a pre-recorded presentation ahead of the in person event in Brisbane. In the event presenters are unable to present due to the pandemic (i.e., location lockdowns or border closures preventing travel), your pre-recorded presentation will be played to the live audience.
         AND;

  • 2). AT THE IN PERSON EVENT: Attend the In Person Conference and provide a live Presentation; as part of submitting an abstract and being accepted into the program, you agree to register and attend the in person conference in Brisbane to personally present to a live audience.

Oral Presentation Instructions - OVERVIEW

  • All Presenters are to register for their attendance at the conference by 31 March 2022
  • Accepted Proffered Oral Presentations are 15 minutes in duration (13 mins Presentation and 2 mins Q&A) with live Q&A at the end of each presenter's presentation. 
  • Award Presentations vary in length. Please ensure you check the program for confirmation of presentation length. 
  • All Oral Presenters are to upload a pre-recorded version via the dropbox link below by 15 April 2022
  • Pre-recorded presentations must not be any longer than the length allocated in the conference program. 
  • All registered delegates will have access to the On-Demand Portal post conference and will feature all presentations to watch at your own convenience for 6 months until November, 2022
  • Prior to attending the In Person Conference, checking the program is essential to confirm your allocated session and time. 
  • Oral Presentations must not be any longer than the allocated time slot and the nominated chairperson will ensure the program stays on time.



1). PRIOR TO THE EVENT

Presenter Registration

  • All presenting authors must register by 31 March 2022. Please use the unique link sent to your nominated email. A presenter is deemed the nominated person/s who will present an oral paper.
Pre-recorded Oral Presentations

  • In 2022, we require a pre-recorded version of your presentation ahead of the in person event. 
  • Pre-recorded presentations are requested from all presenters and will be loaded into the On-Demand Portal accessible by all registered delegates.
  • All presentations must be uploaded in MP4 format.
  • Pre-recorded Oral Presentations must not be any longer than the allocated time slot. You may be asked to re-record and re-submit to ensure presentation times are kept to the allocated timeslot.
  • You will not have the opportunity to make any edits once the file has been uploaded.

2). AT THE IN PERSON EVENT

On Arrival

Preparing your Presentation for the In Person Conference

Please refer to the program schedule to view the day and time of your presentation HERE. The program is subject to change, please ensure you download the most recent program.

Session Rooms

All session rooms will be equipped with a laptop (Windows 10), lectern, lapel microphone, data projector and hand held slide presenter / laser pointer (clicker) supplied by the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC). It is recommended that you use the BCEC's laptops and play back devices.

If you must use your own laptop, please advise this office before Friday 15 April 2022. Ensure you bring the appropriate adaptors and please note that the venue will not provide any technical support for equipment it does not own and maintain.

The preferred method of presentation is via PowerPoint. PowerPoint presentations should be prepared in wide screen 16:9 (not standard 4:3 format). You must bring your presentation to the conference on USB Flash drive for it to be loaded onto the Conference system by an audiovisual technician in the speakers’ preparation room. Please have your presentation saved under your last/family name.

Presenter Registration

Presenters are requested to report to the registration desk on arrival. You will be directed to the speaker preparation area where your presentation will be uploaded and verified. If you have a MAC or special presentation requirements, please see the technical operators in the speaker preparation area for assistance. Meet with your session chairperson in the session room 10-15 minutes prior to the commencement of the session. If at all possible, please check your presentation material in the speaker preparation area well before your presentation time to avoid any problems when you present.

Speaker Preparation Room

The Speaker Preparation Room is located in the Concord Room. Enter via Grey Street Lifts to Concord level and follow the signage.

Friday 13 May 2022 – 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Saturday 14 May 2022 – 7:30am – 4:30pm
Sunday 15 May 2022 – 7:30am – 1:00pm
