Dariusz graduated from The Silesian School of Medicine (Poland) and was awarded a title of Internal Medicine Specialist following training and board examination. 

He continued training after arrival in Australia and New Zealand and became a Consultant Cardiologist with interest in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. 

Dariusz worked as a Transplant Cardiologist at the Green Lane Heart Centre in Auckland and The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane before establishing the Heart Failure Unit at The Princess Alexandra Hospital. His areas of expertise include Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation, Cardiac Amyloidosis and Pulmonary Hypertension. 

He is a co-founder of Queensland Amyloidosis Centre which provides multidisciplinary service for patients with Amyloidosis from 2009. 

He remains actively involved in research with many publications in areas of Heart Failure, Cardiac Amyloidosis and Pulmonary Hypertension.
