Dr Michael Mond is a consultant endocrinologist with a subspecialty interest in the management of patients with thyroid disease and thyroid cancer. In 2015, he completed a PhD exploring the genetic and molecular pathogenesis of thyroid cancer at Prince Henry’s Institute of Medical Research (now Hudson Institute). His post-doctoral research focused on the development of a comprehensive panel for molecular testing of thyroid tumours.

Michael is joint head of the Thyroid Clinic at Monash Health and lead endocrinologist in the Thyroid Clinic at Eastern Health. He established the Victorian Thyroid Cancer Interest Group which brings together clinicians from a range of disciplines for meetings on topics of interest.
