Role Overview
Chair Person Role
All Oral Presentations will be pre-recorded and uploaded into the virtual platform ready for the live event. Given the nature of the event delivery in 2021, there will be no formal introduction of the presenters in your session, instead a graphic slide will appear at the beginning of each presentation detailing the presenters name and title.
As the presentations are played live, attendees will have the opportunity to type questions into the live Q & A chatbox on the virtual platform. A Moderator will assist the chair with capturing the top rated questions during the presentations while the chair and presenters are involved in online testing.
A highlight of this year's event is the Live Q & A sessions scheduled at the conclusion of each session block and we have invited all Invited Speakers and Oral Presenters to participate. The role of a Chair is to facilitate the live Q & A, providing an interactive element to the program by engaging with presenters in a panel style session.
Please ensure you arrive into the Live Q&A for testing 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time on the program.
Moderator Role
A Moderator will be assigned to each session and will assist the Chair to gather the text based questions asked throughout presentations as they play live. All Chairs and Presenters will be online for testing 20 minutes prior to the scheduled Live Q & A on the day, the role of the Moderator is to assist the chair in capturing the top rated questions to be asked, an important role.
