Dr. Chiara Lauri, MD
Dr. Chiara Lauri was born in Rome on 1st August 1984. In 2003 she obtained the scientific high school diploma and in 2010 she achieve the graduation in Medicine and Surgery in “Sapienza” University of Rome (full marks cum laude). In 2018 she completed the residency in Nuclear Medicine in “Sapienza” University of Rome (full marks cum laude). Since 2019 to today she is employed at Department of Medical-Surgical Sciences and of Translational Medicine, “Sapienza” University of Rome, with a Research grant. Actually she is completing her PhD thesis at University Medical Centre of Groningen (UMCG), the Netherlands. In 2021 she obtained the national eligibility for Associate Professor.
She is the Guideline Representative of “Inflammation&Infection Committee” of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) and Secretary of “Inflammation&Infection Study Group” of Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AIMN). She is involved as first author in the publication of joint guidelines on diabetic foot infection - with EANM, European Society of Radiology (ESR) and European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD)- and on vascular graft infections – with EANM and European Society of Vascular Surgery (ESVS)- .
Since 2010 to 2021 she published more than 30 papers, mainly focused on imaging infection and inflammation with a particular interest in diabetic foot and vascular graft infections, and 5 books’ chapters.
