ORAL presentation instructions

Abstracts submitted and accepted as accepted Oral Presentations will be delivered as a pre-recorded Oral Presentation.

Pre-recorded presentations and live Q&As will be the foundation of the ANZAHPE Festival program when delivered live through the virtual platform.

Similar to the 2021 Festival, we have chosen an easy-to-use virtual platform with an interactive timeline which will create a seamless and smooth viewing experience. Attendees will view your presentation at the scheduled time allocation and will have access to your presentation to view again after the event.

Live Q & A panel sessions are intended to facilitate attendee engagement and interaction. These are scheduled throughout the concurrent sessions to allow attendees to ask presenters questions. We request that all presenters are ready to participate by being online at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled live Q&A.

Going virtual means we need to be more organised ahead of the live event dates. We appreciate your time and ask you read the instructions to ensure deadlines and expectations as an oral presenter are met. Please find below more details on requirements for your oral presentation.

Oral Presentations

All Oral Presentations will be pre-recorded, 9 minutes in duration with a live Q&A component scheduled at the end of your session block.

  • Refer to the program schedule Conference Program to view the day, time and stream allocation of your presentation.
  • Each Oral Presentation is strictly 9 minutes in total. The extra minute is built into the program for presentation transition. This is required in a virtual portal event delivery. Whilst your presentation is listed for 10 minutes, this is made up of 9 minute presentation and 1 minute transition. Please note, If your recording is longer than 9 mins, you presentation may cut off.
  • Oral Presentations will be grouped together with a Live Q&A panel-style session scheduled directly afterwards. There are up to 6 presentations in a session, and the recordings will be presented in a block of 6, with a 30 minute Live Q&A session for each block of 6.
  • Live Q&A will see Presenters joining together with a Chair to answer questions and engage in discussion at the conclusion of your session block.  Questions may be presented by the Chair, or by the “audience” via a chat function.
  • Checking the program is essential to confirm your scheduled Live Q&A time.
  • All presentations must be pre-recorded and uploaded in MP4 format.
  • Oral Presentations must not be any longer than 10 minutes. You may be asked to re-record and re-submit to ensure presentation times are kept to schedule.
  • You will not have the opportunity to make any edits once the file has been uploaded.
