1. Local Experiences walking tour with Newcastle Afoot

Your local guide will walk you through little-known pockets of our neighbourhood, away from tourist hubs. Meet local creative business owners, taste some of the best coffee in town, and enjoy sweet, delicious treats and a locally brewed beer (or wine if preferred). Lunch at Rustica Restaurant overlooking Newcastle Beach.

2. Architecture and Street Art Walk with Newcastle Afoot

Discover culture on a walking tour in the Newcastle city centre. Get a creative local's guide to the hidden secrets of Newcastle on the city's ultimate walking tour. This urban exploration of Newcastle will introduce you to the best of the city's history, architecture, new developments, creative makers, and street art. Lunch at Rustica Restaurant overlooking Newcastle Beach.

3. Surfing Lesson with Phillipa Anderson Surf School

Learn to surf with Newcastle’s Philippa Anderson and coaches at Philippa Anderson Surf School. If you are a first timer, we want to get you standing on a surfboard and having a whole lot of fun. With all our coaches having incredible surf knowledge, Surfing Australia qualifications, years of experience surfing and the excitement to help you get to your feet and riding those waves. Lunch at Rustica Restaurant overlooking Newcastle Beach.

4. Guided bike tour with Newy Rides

Join Newy Rides for a small group ride through essential Newcastle, explore hidden gems, and experience the best of Newcastle on two-wheels. Led by experienced guides, this tour is a perfect introduction to our coastal city. Lunch at the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club overlooking the Newcastle Harbour.

5. Learn to Sail with the NCYC 

Tuesday, 10 October 2023
9:30am - 2:30pm
This fun 'taste of sailing' will involve a two-hour morning session on-water where you'll be actively involved in sailing, pulling ropes, changing sides during tacks and working together as a crew. There will of course be time to have a look around the Harbour and view our beautiful city from a completely different angle! Lunch at the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club overlooking the Newcastle Harbour.

6. Whale Encounter Tour with CoastXP

Tuesday, 10 October 2023
9:30am - 2:30pm
A premier whale watching experience aboard our custom-built adventure boat. The tour focuses closely on the annual Humpback Whale (Megaptera Novaeangliae) migration along the east coast. In addition to watching the whales up close, the experience travels along the stunning Newcastle coastline with the added chance of encountering dolphins and long-nosed fur seals. Lunch at the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club overlooking the Newcastle Harbour.

7. Guided walk through Glenrock State Conservation Area with Geo Trail and Nature Walks
