Michelle Ockers

Michelle Ockers is the co-founder and Chief Learning Strategist at Learning Uncut, helping organisations build high impact L&D functions.  She hosts the Learning Uncut podcast, sharing case studies of real learning solutions.  Michelle was the Australian Institute of Training and Development’s Learning Professional of the Year in 2019, and also received the 2019 Internet Time Alliance Jay Cross Memorial Award for contribution to informal learning.


Chemène Sinson

Chemène is the founder and Principal at Blackwater Projects, an independent practice that helps individuals and organisations design and deliver learning experiences that help people perform better—at work, in the community or personally.

Chemène’s work spans diverse educational sectors. She draws on her experience as an elite athlete, sports coach, school teacher, VET professional and facilitator to mentor and support experienced facilitators and assessors with their ongoing development.  An accomplished writer, Chemène has published learning resources used by more than 150 organisations throughout Australia and internationally.

Chemène is a regular speaker at conferences and special events and is looking forward to learning with and from other 2024 AITD conference speakers and attendees.


Vanessa Trower

Vanessa is a dynamo in the Learning and Development arena, with over 15 years of expertise in devising standout L&D strategies, programmes, and designs across large organisations. Now, as the visionary leader of Nexperk Learning, she is launching transformative learning initiatives that prioritise unforgettable experiences. Her dedication to the L&D sector has been recognised with accolades such as the Dr. Alastair Rylatt Award. Her energetic Nexperk team brings creativity, zest, and insightful strategy to deliver impactful learning solutions that resonate deeply and motivate teams.
