An exclusive conference discount has been negotiated for delegates attending the Trans-Tasman Lobster Conference 2025.

Rates provided for each of the hotels are specific to the Conference dates only and do not include breakfast unless otherwise specified.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. 


How to Book Accommodation

Accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking. Rates quoted are per night, room only.

Discount bookings offered by the Conference Manager can be secured via the Conference registration process. This includes bookings for the Rydges Melbourne CBD and the Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale. Bookings via the Conference Managers are available up until 18 July 2025 after which point they will be closed. We encourage you to book at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment.  

If you have already registered for the conference and wish to add on discounted accommodation, please contact lobster2025@eventstudio.com.au quoting LOBSTER 2025 Accommodation. One of our team will advise you of availability and confirm if you would like the requested dates added onto your registration.


Amending Accommodation Bookings

For bookings made through the Conference Manager, please contact Event Studio(lobster2025@eventstudio.com.au) to advise of any change requests and refrain from contacting the hotel direct. Please quote LOBSTER 2025 Accommodation in your email.

Only if you have booked and paid directly with a hotel, should you contact them directly.

Rydges Melbourne CBD

A full-service hotel, Rydges Melbourne is open 24 hours a day with our team on hand and ready to help with whatever you may need during your stay, including a late-night snack or early breakfast with 24/7 in-room dining.  

Using natural textures and warm earthy tones, inspired by the Australian landscape, the rooms are an inviting oasis at the end of a conference day or after an evening event.

Room Type Available: Rydges King Room - $250.00 per room, per night including Full Buffet Breakfast.

Terms and Conditions for Rydges Melbourne CBD

Payment Policy:

  • Credit card guarantee required to secure booking at point of registration, which will be forwarded by the Event Manager to the hotel 30 days prior to the conference (18 July 2025) for full-payment by the hotel prior to arrival.
  • All guests are responsible for paying any remaining balance direct to the hotel upon arrival/departure.

Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellation can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival (any time prior to 18 July 2025). 
  • Any cancellation made within 30 days of arrival (from 19 July 2025 onwards) are subject to full room charges due to hotel cancellation penalty (100% of your accommodation booking). 
  • Non arrivals/no shows will incur a fee equal to 100% of the accommodation not utilised (100% of your accommodation stay).

Other:
  • Check-in time is 2.00pm. Check-out time is 11.00am. 


Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale Suites

These studios and apartments in the heart of Melbourne CBD offer stunning views of the city and surrounding parklands. Most include fully equipped kitchen facilities and a private balcony. Free WiFi is offered. 

Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale Suites is surrounded by fabulous shopping, restaurants, cafés, the vibrant theater district and Chinatown. The iconic MCG and Rod Laver Arena are each a 20-minute walk away.

Terms and Conditions for Oaks Melbourne on Lonsdale Suites

Payment Policy:

  • Credit card guarantee required to secure booking at point of registration, which will be forwarded by the Event Manager to the hotel 30 days prior to the conference (18 July 2025) and full payment will be charged by the hotel on this day 
  • All guests are responsible for paying any remaining balance direct to the hotel upon arrival/departure 
  • The Hotel will require a credit card imprint from guests upon check-in to cover any additional charges per apartment i.e. telephone calls, movies etc. This will pre-authorize the security amount of $75 which will be lifted off after departure. The pre-authorized amount is set aside by the credit card company for a period of up to 7 working days and will affect the guest’s available funds balance or spending limit on their credit card.
  • A service fee of 1.5% will be charged for all payments made using a credit or debit card.

Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellation can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival (any time prior to 18 July 2025).  
  • Any cancellation made within 29 – 14 days prior (19th July 2025 – 6th August 2025) are subject to 1 nights cancellation fee ($215.00) 
  • Any cancellations made 13 – 0 days prior (7th August onwards) are subject to full room charges (100% of your accommodation booking).  
  • Non arrivals/no shows are subject to full room charges (100% of your accommodation booking).

Other:
  • Check-in time is 2 pm. Check-out time is 10 am. 
  • Additional guest @ $59.00 per room
  • Complimentary WiFi


The Windsor Melbourne

Our Traditional Rooms, about 22 sqm, are perfect for short Melbourne stays.  They feature a Queen bed, desk, and marble bathroom with a shower over bath. As a heritage hotel, each room is unique. The Windsor is located 400m away from The Rydges Melbourne.
