AITD SPEAKER & PRESENTATION GUIDELINES


On behalf of the AITD, we are excited to include fellow industry professionals and colleagues to participate in the AITD Conference 2025 Program. 


Please refer to the program schedule to view the day and time of your presentation.

We appreciate your time and ask you read the instructions to ensure deadlines and expectations as a presenter are met. Please find below more details on requirements for presentations.

Key Reminders for AITD Speakers

PowerPoint Presentation Submission:

All presenters are to load up their PowerPoint Presentation slides Onsite at the Conference in Adelaide to Techs in Speaker Support.

Onsite Speaker Support Times:
Wednesday, 21 May | 12:00 - 16:00
Thursday, 22 May | 08:00 - 16:00
Friday, 23 May | 08:00 - 14:00


Presentation Guidelines

An overview of Accepted Presentations are detailed as follows:


Pre-Conference Workshops

Overview: Pre-Conference Workshops will be held on Wednesday, 21 June 2025. 

Location: Latrobe Ballroom & Fitzroy Ballroom - Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

Room Set up: All rooms will be set up cabaret style with round tables to allow for delegate engagement and interaction. 

Presentation / Session Style: Workshops are designed to be highly interactive and hands on with the delegates in attendance. 

Presentation Length: 30 minutes in total


Plenary Sessions

Overview: Plenary sessions are part of the conference program where all delegates attend in one larger session room.

Location: Grand Ballroom - Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

Room Set up: All rooms will be set up cabaret style (open ended round tables) to allow for delegate engagement and interaction. 

Presentation / Session Style: Varied as a Keynote, Panel or Debate

Presentation Length: 35 minutes presentation plus 10 minutes Q&A (45 minutes in total)


Concurrent Sessions

Overview: Concurrent Sessions are scheduled at the same time in the program and held in different session rooms, allowing delegates to choose the session they wish to attend.

Location: Grand Ballroom & Latrobe Ballroom - Sofitel Melbourne on Collins

Presentation / Session Style: Your allocated presentation time can be used how you wish and may be the following styles:

  • Academic/Theoretical
  • Case Study
  • Inspirational
  • Interactive/Hands-On

Please note, presentations should be as interactive and participative as possible, incorporating takeaways/practical applications and ensuring time allowance for questions and answers form the audience. 

Length:  15 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes Q&A (20 minutes in total)


Presentation Room Audio Visual Equipment:

Room Set Up: All rooms throughout the AITD 2025 Conference Program will be set up cabaret style. This is open ended round tables with 8 sets per table.

Equipment: All rooms will be provided with the following:
(please note, there may be slightly different set up in sessions rooms based on size and audio requirements). 

  • LED Screens / Data Projector & Screen
  • Lectern and fixed mic
  • Lapel for presenter (on request)
  • Provision to use your laptop at lectern (presenter to provide) ** All Mac users to bring own adaptors / USC to HDMI dongle
  • Foldback Monitor
  • Prefect Cue Remote
  • Access to Internet
  • Q&A microphones on stand positioned in the room in a central location.

PRIOR TO THE CONFERENCE

  • Review the AITD Program - When planning for your presentation, please keep in mind your allocated presentation timing.

AT THE CONFERENCE

  • Bring your presentation on a USB to upload directly with the audio visual technician onsite at the conference venue - Sofitel Melbourne.
    Please note: We do not require your presentation to be sent in advance. 

  • Meet your MC/chair in allocated room in the break prior to your scheduled presentation.
