By agreeing to speak at AITD Conference 2025 ("the Conference"), you ("the Speaker") accept and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Speaker Commitments
Presentation Content: Provide original content relevant to the Conference theme and appropriate for a diverse audience.
Materials Submission: Submit all required materials (e.g., biography, headshot, slides) by the deadlines set by the Conference organisers.
Scheduling: Be available at the designated time and place for your presentation and any scheduled rehearsals or briefings.
Conduct: Maintain professionalism and refrain from any behaviour that could harm the reputation of the Conference or its participants.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership: You retain all intellectual property rights to your presentation materials.
License Grant: Unless specified in writing to the Conference organiser in advance of Conference, grant the Conference a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your presentation materials for Conference-related purposes.
Third-Party Content: Ensure that any third-party content included in your presentation is used with proper permission and attribution.
4. Recording and Distribution
Consent to Record: Allow the Conference to record your presentation in audio and/or video formats.
Use of Recordings: Permit the use of these recordings for promotional, educational, or other purposes as determined by the Conference organisers.
5. Cancellation Policy
By Speaker: Notify the Conference organisers promptly if you must cancel, providing a valid reason.
By Conference: The Conference reserves the right to cancel your participation if you fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions or for other legitimate reasons.
6. Travel and Accommodation
Expenses covered: The conference will cover your entry to the workshop and conference days and is not transferable. The cost for attendance at the AITD Awards function during the conference is not covered.
Expenses Not Covered: The Conference will not cover travel and accommodation expenses, or ancillary costs associated with preparation and delivery of the talk. The Conference will not cover costs to attend the AITD Excellence awards unless specified in writing by the Conference organiser. Any other additional expenses are the responsibility of the Speaker.
7. Liability and Indemnification
Liability: The Conference is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by the Speaker.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Conference from any claims arising out of your participation.
8. Confidentiality
Non-Disclosure: Do not disclose any confidential information obtained through your association with the Conference without prior written consent.
Data Protection: Comply with all applicable data protection laws regarding any personal data you may access.
9. Compliance with Laws
Ensure that your actions and presentation comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the state and national laws of Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and the Conference organisers regarding your participation as a Speaker.
