He’s passionate about live theatre and loves recreational and fitness walking. He lists a highlight of his life walking the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain in 2014. Andrew is adept at building strong connections with people he meets and dreams of the day he can publish his memoir of his life in teaching. 

He was diagnosed with neuro-endocrine tumours in Dubai in May 2020. 

Whilst he is used to addressing a class room full of young people and auditoriums full of educators, he has never spoken to a room full of health professionals! 

He is excited to be invited to share his unique and personal patient experience of the nuclear medicine treatment he received whilst in the care of Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
